Hi.
I'm Philippa, and this blog is intended to record my preparations for, adventures in, and memories of my trip to India.
I am due to leave England on February 28th, 2008, and will not return for 4.5 months.
The aim of the trip is to teach in an orphanage school called Dar-Ul-Fazl, in the North West of India, near Manali (famous for drugs and hippies!). I am going with an organisation called GAP Activity Projects (www.gap.org.uk) and will be working with an Australian girl named Celia at the school.
Of course, I also aim to be a tourist for part of the time, and have just bought myself a new camera (Canon powershot G9) for this purpose.

Hey im not completely convinced that this is going to work. Im really not good with these old computers. Hope your having an amazing time. It sounds like you are already. Im so jealous of you being out there. Its raining as per-usual in Bristol. I cant wait to see your pics.
